Description:
I. Position Summary:.
Manages the U.S. and foreign passenger tax compliance, accounting, research and planning function. Leads the day-to-day operations of the passenger tax accounting team to meet the Company's compliance obligations and minimize liabilities.
II. Essential Functions:
* Oversee and review U.S. and foreign passenger tax reporting, return filings and related payments to ensure compliance * Review reconciliations of all passenger tax liability accounts and recording of tax accruals * Coordinate foreign passenger tax compliance, research and planning with external advisors * Recommend and implement system reporting and process improvements * Facilitate U.S. excise tax research and planning with internal advisors. * Work closely with Airports, Revenue Management, Revenue Accounting, and Legal teams to assist in the development of accounting and compliance policies/procedures, as well as any disclosure requirements, for all passenger-related taxes and fees * Develop and maintain effective business relationships with Airports teams and external advisors * Manage, train and develop staff * Coordinate and manage audits, including internal and external financial, as well as, taxing authority audits. * Complete special requests and projects * Carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision * 10-20% international travel may be requireddf-tc

Experience/Skills:
III. Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance * Five (5) to ten (10) years of combined accounting and tax experience (emphasis on accounting preferred) * International accounting or tax experience preferred * Bi-lingual with fluency in English and Spanish preferred * Pass a ten (10) year background check (may include credit check) and pre-employment drug test
IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, database applications, ERP systems and tax research tools * Strong leadership and communication skills * Self-starter with a professional demeanor * Strong analytical and interpretive skills * Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines * Capable of working independently and in a team environment * Detail oriented

Equipment: * Computer and other office equipment
Work Environment: * Normal office environment * Present for core business hours with the ability to work overtime, including occasional weekend days, as the need arises, especially to meet filing and quarterly financial reporting deadlines
