Description:
Position Summary:
Monitor and react to all security related incidents and reports, throughout the JetBlue system, from a designated "Security Desk" known as "Blue Watch" in the System Operations Center. This position also requires flexibility in assignments covering the Security Concierge desk to vet visitors and appointments scheduled and unscheduled.
Essential Functions:
*Work closely with the Manager System Operations Center to provide "real time" assessment and guidance with respect to in-flight and ground security related incidents and access control breaches; *Respond to inquires from federal, state, and local law enforcement authorities; *Provide appropriate interpretation and dissemination of security regulations and information to all JetBlue entities as needed, such as resolving Transportation Security Administration (TSA) "no fly" and "selectee" issues; *Facilitate resolution of bomb threats and other security circumstances that impact upon JetBlue operations; *Prepare written reports as necessary.df-tc

Experience/Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
*High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required, College Degree preferred; *Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in law enforcement or the private security sector required; *Complete fluency in written and spoken English; *Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus; *Must work flexible shifts, including nights, holidays and weekends; *Ability to maintain strict confidentiality; *Regular attendance and punctuality; *Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion; *Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance; *Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test ; *Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located; *When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
