Position Summary:

The Analyst is responsible for conducting the administrative aspects of all JetBlue Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAP). The program is designed to identify and implement corrective action to reduce the occurrence of operational errors; thereby reducing event rates and enhancing operational safety.
JetBlue has a Pilot career path program titled Gateway IV. The preferred candidate would have a desire to pursue a part-time pilot position within JetBlue after one year of successful performance in the ASAP Analyst position.

Essential Functions:

* Administers the business processes associated with all JetBlue ASAPs, which entails data collection, analysis, and reporting for the programs. The program is designed to identify and implement corrective action to reduce the occurrence of operational errors; thereby reducing event rates and enhancing operational safety
- Processes ASAP reports received from Crewmembers
- Generates, tracks, and files ASAP correspondence, both internal and external
- Collects information to facilitate ASAP event investigation and analysis. Information collection efforts include, but not be limited to performs database queries/reports, verifies established document references, and acquires supplementary information via company information systems
- Schedules and coordinates the logistics of ASAP Event Review Committee meetings
- Assists in the generation of minutes of all ASAP meetings
- Maintains the ASAP reports database
- Tracks ASAP corrective actions
- Develops and generates periodic reports to facilitate ASAP program management
- Tracks ASAP success stories and associated cost benefits of the ASAPs
- Assists in the drafting of newsletters to communicate the results of ASAP report data to the covered workgroups
- Assists in the production of reports and briefings on ASAP activity; case resolutions; and trends and issues identified through the program
- Ensures that all reports generated under the ASAP program are factually correct and statistically sound
* Participates in airline industry safety conferences, groups, and associations to include domestic and international travel
* Additional duties as assigned by the Manager of Safety Data and Investigations or ASAP Senior Analyst

Experience/Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:

* BachelorÁ’s Degree in a safety related field
* One (1) to three (3) years safety experience
* Experience with database management and Microsoft Office applications
* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
* Strong team building interpersonal skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Working knowledge of commercial aircraft systems
* Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
* Working knowledge of regulations governing commercial aviation
* Working knowledge of website development preferred
